Man, you got to try this, HP KS523AA USB TV Tuner Perfect for CollegeThis tuner has proven its value for me as a college student. The tuner allows you to connect a coaxial cable directly from the jack (supplied in most college dorms) to the tuner, allowing you to transform your laptop into a tv. Making this a good solution for not owning a tv. This was easy to install. Using the antenna (not cable) the tuner was able to recieve 9 local channels including abc, nbc, cbs, and fox. It is also useful for recording shows directly to the computers hard drive. I have also used it to connect my xbox 360 to the laptop(through s-video). Through quickplay the graphics weren’t amazing, but lag was bearable (as long as the playback feature was disabled)…Definitely worth considering if you have access to cable, but no tv. » Read more about HP KS523AA USB TV Tuner
